The Role

Due to our ongoing growth, Quality Marine Services is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineering Technician / ETO to join our Technical team. This role is essential to our expanding operations and involves hands-on fieldwork, client interaction, and technical leadership.

You’ll work alongside a team of experienced professionals and be actively involved in marine projects that demand both precision and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide electrical and technical consultancy on marine systems

  • Conduct testing, calibration, modification, and repairs of marine electronic equipment

  • Perform safety and compliance inspections

  • Estimate material quantities and costs for marine electronics

  • Oversee procurement of marine electronic components

  • Draft detailed and professional technical reports

  • Liaise with clients, terminals, and other stakeholders

About You

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Qualification in Electrical Engineering

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) or similar role in the marine industry

  • Familiarity with bulk carriers is highly advantageous

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities

  • Knowledge of Australian maritime regulations and terminal operations

  • Must hold a valid driver’s licence

  • Ability to pass required medical and drug/alcohol tests
